Equadorian Government
In its 178 year history, Ecuador has had 20 constitutions and nearly 140 different chairs or people who have joined together or provisional governments. Most of them were not elected. Ecuador has had over 50 presidents or interim managers and only 40 have been presidents constitutional, most of whom ended their periodo.a 29 years ago left him a military triumvirate of power to civilians and from that date until 2007 Ecuador has had 23 presidents or members of government boards. In the 7 years from January 2000 to 2007 eleven people led the troubled nation. Correa, having obtained 64% of the votes cast for its constitution, is most likely to want to end this cycle of instability and giving way to a more lasting. The results of the referendum show a rising curve for the new president Rafael Correa. On October 15, 2006 he placed second in the presidential first round getting only 1 184.097 votes (22.89%), but on 26 November tripled their support and won the second round with 3, 517.635 votes (56.67% of valid votes).
The constitutional consultation September 28, 2008 on Yes to the constitution of Correa exceeded 4, 700,000 votes 64% along. The latter percentage refers to the votes cast but ruled invalid votes is white or the skirt Yes 70% of the valid votes, a belt progression for 13 additional points in relation to the second round in 2006. With this flow a Rafael Correa feels the most popular president who has had his country since three decades ago democracy was restored and has a tailor-made constitution with which he could hope to stay a total of 10 years in presidency.
